Landscape Reminder
Published: July 31, 2024
Well maintained landscape is key part of Wellspring Estates character to help maintain property values. Here are a few tips:
1. Spray weed killer in flower beds and tree wells. Once the weeds turn brown pull the weeds. If you pull weeds before they have been killed, they will spread the seeds and the weeds will return.
2. Rack out old mulch and apply a fresh layer. This will help keep the soil moist and protect the roots of your plants. (See pictures below)
3. Be sure to water your lawn. Deep, infrequent watering is best for promoting root growth.
4. Remember to maintain/service the area between the sidewalk and curb in front of your home. This includes trees. If you have a corner lot this will continue around the corner to the back property line.
5. Next time to fertilize your lawn in late September to prepare for fall/winter. A good rule of thumb is to apply 1 pound of fertilizer per 1000 square feet of lawn.
6. Don’t forget to submit your ACC form located on the community website www.wellspringestateshoa.com to begin any front yard or backyard modification project.
