Decorating with Care: Holiday Lights and HOA Guidelines
Published: November 14, 2025
Holiday lights have been installed at the front entrance, and the wreaths will be added in the next few days. As a reminder, homeowners do not need HOA approval for holiday decorations, but the ACC reserves the right to ask for unsightly decorations to be removed. Please ensure all décor is tasteful and lights are securely and neatly hung. Partially attached or improperly installed lights are subject to removal at the ACC’s request.
We would like to take a moment to remind everyone of our HOA guidelines to prevent violations and fines. Recently, we sent a notice regarding the rising number of violations and the increasing number of notices being ignored.
Your home is most likely your largest investment, and maintaining and increasing its value is a top priority for all of us. Compliance with community standards helps keep property values strong and makes our neighborhood a desirable place for new buyers. While management does not create the CC&R’s, we are responsible for communicating and enforcing the rules for the benefit of the entire community.
Landscape maintenance: please remove dead flowers and weeds. For corner lots, maintenance includes the side lawn that wraps around the corner and extends along the sidewalk to the back of the property.
Landscape borders: All borders must receive ACC approval. Mismatched or misaligned bricks placed around flower beds are not permitted.
Exterior Improvements: ANY exterior changes require prior ACC approval. This includes yard art, and multiple pots on the porch- whether empty or used for sprouting plants- are not allowed to be visible from the front view of the home.
Garage window coverings: All garage windows must be covered to prevent visibility of storage boxes, shelving, or amy other garage related items. This helps maintain a clean uniform appearance throughout the community.Thank you for helping keep our community maintained. If you have questions about the guidelines or approval process, please reach out to me. Our goal is to support you and keep violations to a minimum.
